Guidelines

To participate in the Safety Innovation Challenge, please submit a response via the online response form prior to the submission deadline of Nov. 1, 2024 by 8 p.m. ET. Responses must include only non-confidential, non-proprietary content.

On behalf of the National Safety Council (NSC), TechConnect will invite up to ten (10) top-ranked respondents to attend the Future of EHS Conference held in St Louis, Missouri from Feb. 18-20, 2025. At the event, finalists will showcase their technologies in the Technology Pavilion and pitch their solutions to attendees made up of business leaders, senior EHS professionals, researchers and innovators.

From the group of finalists, a winner will be selected. All finalists will be featured on the TechHub Marketplace insights page, the NSC directory of safety technology solutions, with the winner receiving a complimentary one-year TechHub subscription. Finalists may also partner with NSC on webinars, technical papers or other collaborations to further its safety mission and may be considered for pilot-scale funding directly from NSC to help advance the development and deployment of the technology.

Evaluation

NSC and TechConnect will evaluate all eligible submissions on the following criteria:

  • Approach and technical merit
  • Potential impact on heat stress
  • Development plan
  • Team
  • Innovation
  • Technical maturity

We encourage all respondents to prepare a response highlighting the most compelling and informative aspects of their technology and business. Responses that provide an engaging narrative about the technology, its potential for positive impact, and a viable pathway to commercial deployment and usage will likely be well-received by the evaluation panel.
