For rules pertaining to TechConnect projects in general, please consult <a href=\"https:\/\/techconnect.org\/general-agreement-and-guidance-for-techconnect-projects\/\">this page<\/a>. By submitting a response to this project, you agree to be bound by both these Challenge-specific rules as well as the General Rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Organizer and Sponsors:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>TechConnect (\u201cTechConnect\u201d or \u201cOrganizer\u201d) is the administrator for this Challenge. The National Safety Council (\u201cSponsor\u201d) is the Sponsor for this Challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Challenge Dates:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launch: Oct. 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Webinar: Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. ET<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications Due: Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. ET<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notification: Mid-Nov.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pitch: Feb. at EHS Conference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Safety Innovation Challenge is open to all individuals over the age of 18. Finalists will receive free registration and access to the Future of EHS event and associated activities.&nbsp; Additional expenses incurred (e.g., transportation, lodging, shipping) are the responsibility of each individual finalist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, responses are welcome from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Early to growth stage startups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Academic researchers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research institutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accelerators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incubators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technology transfer firms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consultants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Venture capitalists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entrepreneurs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals and organizations currently under sanctions from the United States federal government are ineligible to participate.
